In the Tuamotu Archipelago in French Polynesia, Rangiroa is an atoll located about 350 km northeast of Tahiti. It is the second largest atoll in the world by the surface of its lagoon, a real inland sea. Rangiroa is served daily from Tahiti-Faaa by several flights on ATR 42 and ATR 72 from Air Tahiti.
